Hi Guys,

We are almost done with our S1000RR HP4 ECU remapping... and would like to know what mods you guys currently have and gains received.

Are you guys running Power commanders? Gains? Who has tuned them?

Initial remap on the HP4 saw us gain 5HP. With the time we have spent on this - we are hoping for about 8-10HP gain and this on the HP4 ECU - which map tables are more advanced than the pre 2014 S1000RR's.

Late Model S1000RR's are strong and the same gain can be yielded.

Chat soon...

Guys mod their bikes ? The 1000RR is already so fast

lol... There are plenty modded bikes in SA... Just like 1 would mod a GTR as its "Already" fast....lol... Bikes can go faster...

Usually Power Commander, pipe & Head job guys gain approx 10 to 20hp. Small for car guys...but on a bike - its SICK :cartel:

First time I saw NOS on a Hayabusa.....

From there i declared than there's no such thing as a satisfied rider\racer

The RR is such a complete package already.

The one I rode was phenomenal to me.

I would like to one day have one next to the Harley in the garage.

For road use, a pipe, filter and mapping is all you would ever really need. Some guys get so excessive though.

But each to his/her own.

Power Commander on my Ex Fireblade a good 25hp more, makes soooo much difference, you cant keep the wheel down.
:coolShake:
But sadly I sold her when times where bad :blueCry:

flash on a bike totally transforms it....toooooootally.

its like adding direct injection NOS to your big turbo 135i

nothing comes even remotely close to a fiddled superbike....except for a fiddled R33 on the highway...lol

Mine is stock standard for now with the standard headers and a slip on. The headers on the bike are perfect as they are titanium if not mistaken.

In terms of power mods - My buddy has the ECU flash from Fire it up - not sure on the gains he got but I think its a Rapid Bike flash... Will check with him.

i was just a wee boy when my gixxer made 130wkw and i thought just a pipe and filter and be done

2 years after that after piston cams valves 3 angle pas remove sprockets change full exhaust and ecu bench flash i ended with 151.7wkw and 45k bill lol but it was worth it.and scared the shit out of me

Had a few bikes which were strong.

Never made sense to me to go all out on such machines.

Their hp/weight ratio made them quick already.

My k7 gixxer was a fantastic bike in terms of power delivery

Slip on, filter, ecu flash and a -1 +2 gearing setup.

Then obviously he braided hoses, discs, pads, suspension setup and a 180 rear got it just right for me.

Also had the electronic damper adjusted via ecu to settle it down just a tad.

high rise screen for a bit more air over the head and I was set.

Sad thing is, the S1000RR then was miles ahead at that stage.

Really enjoy the handling of the S1000rr.
The sound it makes with an Akra shorty on is just dirty. Dirty. Dirty.

Especially when the shifter gets involved.

at the time of completion bmw wasn't doing anything crazy, rr was still a drawing concept but now they are pretty much on par

then again we can be like kawapowa and just supercharge the shit out of it

Ag, I don't care much for the H honestly.

I would much rather have a super which is well balanced albeit it a bit loose to have fun with on the '22'.

This doesn't say much about my current choice of bike though.

Another very special machine is the panigale. A carbon wrap on that bike with the akra system is just sexy time on a stick.

I would still take the RR over the pani though based on what I prefer in terms of power delivery.

As for that H...........the aesthetics do nothing for me and I don't see the need for a boosted application on the street. Then again, I would much rather be on the '22' or Phakisa than satellite road.

Other guys seem to think that flat taps on a mostly straight road is IT.

Tjopper will know what I am talking about with the '22'. Although that is the more well known roads, there are others only known to locals that are pure nirvana.

Theyre not that bad.

Had the 1098s.

Fantastic bike, although it does needs a bit more loving than a jap or a german for sure.
