Weekend work so far lol

So let's begin car is going back on stands lol

Front swaybar gone

Stock lock

Removed everything only keeping the lca mounts and power steering hoses lol

Kept my calipers propped but I need to replace the hoses they badly cracked

Bought this today cutting the bushing was so damn easy

Cut the jacket out with a hack saw

Since I have powerflex offset bushes. To prevent them moving I decided to paint the bush and housing with enamel actually caliper paint. Basically to keep the bush in place and stop it from moving

Since I am using modified uprights I need either extend my e36 arms or use e46 arms. I am using e46 arms. Only thing is u need to ground the hex part to a round shape to fit the e36 bushing.

This is how much I rounded off

End result

Test fit the e36 powerflex bushing

Fits perfectly !!!!

Hopefully I can start assembling tomorrow

I used a gear puller to get rubber out and then had to cut the sleeve as well.

Haha yes it was used 50spf and still got burnt. I have used every kind of tool possible

I would not be able to work with that stuff on my skin, feels like you are warped in plastic.

Wide lock nearly done

Both arms grinded.

This is how much you need to remove

Copper slipped everything to avoid that squeak

Arms in

20mm cut uprights modded by F'rix drifting

Also did new wheel bearings and hubs

Started bolting it all up with my beautiful bc's

Been standing for so long the disks have become crusty lol

25mm spacers that I got from Axis. Top quality stuff

Also sprayed the inner wheel wells

All done. Time for the wheels

Set the camber

Now for the final pics. Because of the wider arms the car is sitting even lower. I will need to adjust the ride height now

Wheels now stick out of the arches lol

These were left over lol. Oh ya and I removed the ABS and brake pad sensors wiring

Next week I need to complete the setup by installing the steering rack

15 hours lol. I was also doing other stuff but it didn't work out so will update when it's complete. I am installing a 2.7 turn z3 rack so it's gonna be real fast

E30 4 turn
E36 non m 3.4 turn
E46 non m 3.2 turn
E46 purple tag 3 turn
Z3 non m 2.7 turn

Nice progress bud....doing a load of work on this machine.

Good on you - just something to mention...your last updated pics, are not displaying - I am in a mixed emotions state...I can read the progress, but I cant see the PICTCHAS!
