Rough Idle Update. Possible Solved.

I might need to replace this pipe as well on my car. No rough idling but mach said it seemed a bit brittle. This is an extension of the CVV I think and will cause rough idling if perished.

Let me know how it goes with the replacement midas pipe :thumbs:

Yes it leads to the top of the ccv.. The ccv takes some time to get to... but by looking at my pipe I figured the inside of the ccv will probably be clogged so I replaced it too.

Yip they tend to get clogged up over time. I had mine replaced earlier this year, but the buggers never replaced that pipe with it :argh:

If you go read up on Rubber you will see that Synthetic oil recats with rubber and I suspect BMW just used normal rubber hose and not a rubber that is fuel and oil resistant(Synthetic rubber should be used)
