Roller Sun Blind For Rear Side Windows and Interior

Hey guys I am looking at a new 320d and I found this option on the options list Roller Sun Blind For Rear Side Windows(mechanical)

Having kids I think it might be a good idea

Has anyone had this installed?
Does it look neat and does it work well?

Also have a choice to make

Which one looks better

Thanks I was pulling more for the right one with the gloss black but seeing it in real life could be a whole other storie

You need some colours that contrast eachother and that are not all the same colour, see it real life but I'm sure you will like the black/alliminium better.

By the way whats the price on the blinds?

Its a R1900 option for the manual roler blinds for the rear side windows for the rear winscreen one its R3000

The reason I was looking at different finnishes in the interior is the one of the left is what my 323i looks like now just wanted a change I guess

Left looks better , too much black makes car feel soulless .

Yeah I was thinking exactly that with a creme lighter leather that type of trim would look better but creme light trim + kids =

Just don't get the grey, think thats the worse, in the E46 no trim works with the grey it sucks.

The E60 has the rear window blinds manual ones on side & electric at back & I think its great.. Together with the 20% tint we got on it... it creates the limo effect.. feels like I being driven around by a driver when we go out as a family

Sides and rear blinds work great on my X. Get it if you have kids. I have 35% tint all round and can still see pretty well when the blinds are up. Go for the manual blinds on the side and electric in the back if you can.

i say go with the black. but the gear knob needs to match also... there will still be contrast between the gloss and the matt...

Yeah I also thought that but I wonder if the gloss and matt will be enough of a contrast

it does have enough contrast i had piano black in my car for a bit looks really good :rollsmile: you should go sit in both and see which grabs you...

I decided to go with the standard silver

The sales guy warned me about the Gloss black and a few customers have complained of it getting lots of swerl marks from cleaning and after a few years it looks tacky

My cars right side manual blind is rattling. It irritates the :argh: out of me. But it works well I suppose.

Electric rear blind is a must!

They had one in stock without the Blind which I initially ordered but that one got sold before I could get my finance approved so I had to order a new one so I ordered it with the side blinds lets hope they don't rattle like Riaans ones one thing I cannot handle in these cars is a rattle

I have the electric rear blind and manual side blinds on the rear doors of my 530d, works great for me. Although I am not a family man or have any children, it just helps to make the car looking great. Most of all, the sun dont get to the leather so badly. At times, it makes it look like a have tint on the windows.

Seeing form other post here, think I will go have a 20 - 35% tint done on my windows aswell.

Regarding the trim, my car is full M Sport interior and have the carbon fibre gunmetal trim in it. LOOKS AWESOME! For me, the black trim will look better in your ride.
