Roc-ing a new daily

Having had my eye on 1 of these since they were re-introduced in 2009, I finally found myself in the position to spoil myself :fencelook: . The car in question is a 2015 VW Scirocco 1.4 TSi (118kW) with 56000km and flawless history, with basically all the right boxes ticked so without further ado, I give you the new daily :fencelook: :

Specs
2015 VW Scirocco 1.4TSi
Indium Grey
18 Durban rims in gunmetal
R-Line Kit
Panoramic sunroof (tilt only due to roof structure)
Bi-Xenon Headlamps
RCD 510 Multimedia
Front and rear PDC
Extended warranty till 2024

Ideally I would have liked the 2.0 or R but these were either just out of my budget or had too high mileage. For some odd reason the previous owner added some go-fast stripes, which at first I wanted to remove but the added kW is growing on me. So on to the good stuff :cartel:

Apparently fully disabling the ESP/ESC allows the boost to increase to 3.0bar, thereby increasing power to 128kW :fencelook: I'm a bit apprehensive about this since I like having the pistons inside the block.

The only thing you need to do is lower that ride. The scirocco oem springs are soooo high it makes no sense given the sporty nature of the car. Get some H&R's for it, ride quality will be 100%. I can vouch for them if that means anything to you. But congrats!! The go fast stripes gives it character, leave it. :bravo:

Thanks guys :smilebounce: while I do miss the 320d, I'm loving the sportier ride of the roc :tiptoe:

@Silverbird_96kw I've tried researching it but nothing concrete has come up, although the on-board boost gauge has a limit of 3 bar, which maxes out at 2 bar under WOT...I guess there's only one way to find out if it will boost to 3 bar :fencelook:

So no updates as yet, car went in for an oil/inspection service last week and everything is in order. Also I had some transparent stickers made, will probably fit them this coming weekend.

I'm keen on getting the VW Racing Line intake, I'm just not sure if it will have an effect on the motorplan :fencelook: if anyone has some input on this it will be appreciated

Congrats bud, thats an awesome car right there. Great power, economy and looks in that package.

I remember the Scirocco GTS coming out in the exact spec that you have meaning, the red mirror caps, the stripes along the car, the rims are different and some other stuff.

do the H&R and it will be perfect, for any mods mostly check with Lindsay Saker Edenvale as they are the Oettinger dealer too, so they have all the knowledge and info on plan friendly items.

Thanks for the kind words guys.

Yeah I would have loved to get the GTS, but there wasn't any for sale when I was looking and would anyway have been out of my budget. Apparently you can get a brand new GTS in Argentina still, and this time equipped with the 162kW motor as in the current GTi.

I'll definitely talk to the guys at LS Edenvale :smilebounce:

So nothing really new to report, except having the plugs changed around 2000 km ago. This after I had to fight with the service manager because it's "against there policy" to just change parts. But fortunately they gave in and done it. It definitely pulls a lot better with the new plugs.

And then this also happened

Ordered the carbon mirrors from Jabsport and received outstanding service, would definitely recommend them. The subtle change in the mirror color makes a huge difference, and I'm quite liking it.
