same issue on the 7'er last month, was just the quick release fitting wasn't making proper contact, bit of "electrical switch cleaner" sprayed into either end of the connector.........sorted !
Also had an issue with the front, the pads are still fat, discovered the wire had chaffed thru against the wheel
brake wear sensor works on a closed loop circuit = OK, break the circuit = warning light on

Glad you safe at least. These bloody transport companies need to be more weary of the conditions of the trucks they send their drivers out with. I see these tyre treads all over the place lately.
