So we came back yesterday as I was fearing the car had developed a niggle. It went into limp mode and I couldn't quite identify what the problem was. So we drove straight back without stopping over in Clarens (very sad)
Low and behold the car is now error and trouble free. I suspect the caltex I filled up at at the south coast might have had bad fuel and caused multiple timing errors on the Ion control unit and spark plugs combined.
Here is a little teaser of what the car is like.
I felt terrible for launching the car but I just had to at least try it once. It wasn't perfect as I lifted off in 1st gear to try and control the spin but boy this thing moves. Also toward the end of the video I tapped off and it was an uphil. Normally it still accelerates hard to the limiter.
