I must add on the topic of RMI

I was highly dissapointed !

When I still owned Speedway Motorsports, in an attempt to increase exposure and reach and market, I applied to the RMI for membership.

I was given an application form and fee's, THATS ALL !
No workshop inspection, to check the scope and quality of workmanship, they were not interested in what we did, or how we did things, the quality and qualifications of the staff, the quality of the spares etc etc.....they only wanted money !!

So the RMI is only a "bargaining organization" that attempts to allay fears of the public, that a "platform exists" to which complaints can be lodged, but no guarantee of the actual quality of the workmanship conducted, parts used etc.

I stay in Randburg and for the price the RMI workshops in Randburg are going to charge, you might as well just go to a BMW dealership. Most that I have tried, charge the same price as ABM which is a BMW dealer. Book your car with them and drive to midrand bro, it is worth it. You can even wait for your car when they service it and have a cuppa

I agree with @"lebofa" on costs and @"Ralf*" on the RMI accreditation meaning anything much.

Normally the discounted rates, relationship with SA & workshop manager and deals on basic work mean BMW is a good option for me.

If you're considering coming all the way to Midrand, consider a quote from Ross Duncan as well.
