Nothing to fancy, engine bay is wiped down at every wash (so weekly) and I treat the covers with AutoFinesse revive...it provides that deep black finish without being greasy.

Old, but solid motor vehicles. My dad had an E46 330i many years ago and I was mighty impressed with these cars from the first time I drove it. Looks you've found a clean example, many happy km's to you.

Been awhile since I left an update here...With lockdown easing off and the work life schedule normalizing, the car doesnt spend most of its days parked off and on charge.

So whats new since the last update...

Finally got down to fitting a new OEM expansion tank which was stored in the cupboard for a couple months...noticed the lower hose wasnt looking in the best condition so replaced this with an OEM hose...She has really been mechanically sorted in my ownership thus far...

Probably one of the most purchased items in 2020...A new battery  :dunnoanymore: ...Managed to get an OEM M3  battery at a very reasonable price from my local BMW dealer (already had the bigger battery fitted prior to this...A common upgrade among e46 owners, especially if you have an aftermarket sound setup).

Next up...the Potenzas on the car had gotten past its life span, the rubber felt noticeably harder which resulted in a very harsh ride...and with the Rains coming in, I had prioritised this replacement. Took advantage of the HI-Q tyre promotion and fitted a full set of Goodyear Asymmetric 5 tyres (highly rated reviews and compares well with the PS4) but with the ASYM5 coming in at almost half the price of the PS4...my decision was a no brainer.

Immediately after fitment, I noticed the car riding far smoother. The following day I had the suspension set at KZN Wheel Alignment, decided to raise the rear approx 10mm to provide a little more comfort and give the car a better stance...Extremely happy with the result, she is sitting proper now and coupled with the new rubber, the driving experience has greatly improved all round!  raise:

Basically wiped down at every wash and I use AutoFinesse Dressle on monthly ...leave it with a deep sheen thats not greasy to the touch  :chef:

Awesome ride What deal does Hi-Q have on tyres? Ive done research on these tyres and also decided to put them on my OPC instead of Michelin PS4s...But Ive been procrastinating hard to go in and do this as I never use the car

I'm not sure if the promo is still available,  but it was buy any 4 Goodyear tyres and pay for 3, with free fitment and alignment,  also includes 2 years of free tyre insurance (but this is more of a marketing thing imo...basically only covers you if the tyre is damaged beyond repair...plenty of T&c's...but free so ...)
