Many thanks in advance!!

I would say approach our onboard tuners - promotec or xcede or projectshift on the forum first to see what they can offer you. You maybe better off with local tuning support.

For VAG cars Revo is one of the more established tuners. They have dealers all over the country.

The reason I'm looking at Revo is due to the fact that they are more established nationwide. It is more convenient for me with a dealer in Durban, as I don't think Promotec or Xcede are established down here?

Other options in Durban are FRC and Stealth. Both have good reputations tuning VAGs

Xcede does have a Durban rep. PM Sherwin@Xcede for the info.

Revo, stealth and FRC also have built up reputation in Durban. I know the Revo rep in Durban very well. Let me know if you want me to send you his details.

I see that! According to their site I'm looking at a boost of 45bhp and pretty close to 80nm torque wise

Now a month or two to save a little more cash and we'll be there

I've heard mixed reviews from Revo. Some swear by it cause it works. Others swear at it, cause it fucked their car up.

I have a very good friend of mine who took his Golf 6 GTI to Revo and he just kept having massive problems with the car, limp mode every kew KM's.

He eventually sold the car and bought a subaru.

So... I dunno. Maybe it comes down to who flashes the car? I'm not sure.

Like I said... probably tuner dependant.

Revo wouldn't be so well known and successful had their product not worked. So I guess what I am trying to say is find out more about the shop who is going to install the file/the tuner you are going to use. See if people have had problems with them or not.

I would recommend the tuners on the forum. Give them a shout and inquire about their product & after care service.
