So its been month since owning her (e46 330i M-tech1)
Current Mileage- 279 *** , owned her since July 18th 2020
The Experience:
I honestly think it's best daily BMW ever made (my humble opinion). I honestly still find a reason to take the key and go for a blast/drive.
I would go as far as to say even if I had access to many other cars, I would still choose her without a shadow of doubt.
The Suspension:
She sits lower than the standard E46 (Sports-pack) it's firm but perfectly compliant. I have taken my 7 yr daughter & my 67 yr mom for a couple of drives, no complaints from my critics. She's on 225/40 front & 255/35 rear (18's). I have attacked some twisty stuff from CT to Hermanus via Gordon's Bay. I came out smiling at the end of the drive.
Exhaust:
She's audible but not in your face, when she's warmed up nicely she will give you the occasional burble when you let off. Cold starts are magic and my neighbors haven't complained one bit. There's an urge to work on the Exhaust (nothing drastic) but for now she stays stock.
Power:
Many petrolheads will say there's no such thing as enough power, but coming from an E46 323i, the jump is pleasantly sufficient and it satisfies me (For now). It's the perfect middle ground between a daily and a weekend fun toy. She does both well. All this at +- 10l/100kms
Looks:
Let's just say after I have locked her I look back everytime to realize the beauty I own.
It's timeless. There are newer models but in my book in M-tech guise she is pretty much perfect.
That's my summary in a nutshell.
