We plan to be running from a dedicated server from next week.

this morning when i tried to log in i get a message telling me im banned
i must contack an administrator
none of the links to do that wanted to work on the contact page i disconected from inter net and could log on again

I had the same problem at a friends place, he was using the vodacom usb modem, then I went home on my adsl and it worked, i phoned him to log in and the same thing happened on his pc. Dont know if this means anything

the new webmaster has made use of htaccess to try and limit the number of spammers that were signing up from all sorts of strange locations. Shoot him a pm with your current IP address and how you connect etc.

His username is webmaster

Our ISP is shaping our account here at my office like crazy, but the forums load fine on my side.

Try pressing Ctrl+F5 to force a completely reload of the page after that you can refresh like normal.

Can I please ask that the rotating banner on the top of the page be changed back to a different picture with every load or refresh of an page, at the rate it is rotating at the moment a picture every 3 seconds, it is using 8 Megabyte of data every 24 hours, and as I leave the page open in one of my tabs, and sometimes I have more than one page open thus equating to 8 Meg for each open page / 24 hour cycle.

I second that, I now have a big red X at teh top of my page when viewing the forum from work, because the IT guys have obviously started noticing my usage.

I cant post from my phone any longer either because the banner just keeps downloading data, and as long as the page has not loaded completely, I dont have a reply dialog box viewable
