Replaced rear break pads but i now have this squeaking sound when I brake.
I tried the brake cleaner the noise goes away for awhile but returns after a few km.
The noise doesn't seem to between the break pad and the caliper .its only there when the pad rub against the disk. I replaced the pads because of the anti rattle clip that was making a rattling noise .
OK, cause I replaced my brakes recently with Bilstein, and every now and then they will squeak...
Maybe there are some hard particles inside the pad, and its this thats creating the squeak? :dunno:

Copper Slip works! It sounds like it's the pad squealing against the disc but it's actually the vibration of the pad in the caliper when the brakes are applied. This normally happens with a very hard compounded pad I found.
Have the same problem ... installed Bosch pads and have squeaked ever since, just waiting till they are finnished then using another brand.
Tried the following:
1) Removed pads and slapped on copper grease .. no luck.
2) Skimmed discs .. no luck.
3) Grinded the sides of the pads like originals from BMW .. no luck.
4) Followed bedding procedures .. no luck.
Guys, like I said, my brakes dont make the noise all the time, only sometimes, and then it will last for a few days, and gone again, which is why I say I think it might be hard bits inside the pad itself?? :dunno:
