REDUCED POWER

HI

STANDARD BMW 135I N54 . UNDER WOT IT KEEPS GOING INTO LIMP MODE ND LIGHTS UP DASH BOARD WITH REDUCED POWER .

CODES : 0030FE

AND 3100

ANY IDEAS MEMBERS ? I BELEIVE THIS CODE IS FOR OVERBOOST AND FOR LIMP MODE . WHAT CAN CAUSE AN OVERBOOST SITUATION IN A STOCK CAR .
WHEN CAR IS SWITCHED OF LIGHT IS GONE AND ENGINE HAS POWER AGAIN UNTIL THE NEXT WOT .

Take the car to someone that knows these cars to assist you. Its hard to troubleshoot a car remotely without a datalog but someone that knows these cars can check the obvious culprits...e.g. boost leaks...broken chargepipe...etc

An overboost condition/boost spikes/boost overshoot can also be triggered by a huge boost leak or general boost control issues on the solenoids or vacuum lines.

:fencelook: is the car def stock ? are you the first owner ?
check all breathing pipes (rubber ones)...they get soft with age.

Take the car to Chris at CCD, their work is topnotch and they BMW Specialist.

2.Boost leak.

3.Charge pipe crack.

4.Waste gate broke..


I think no1 is most likely...

Hi

I have checked no boost leaks , no cracked pipes . However on the right side solenoid there is like a black cap that is broken off revealing a 3rd nipple on the solenoid . maybe this is the issue ?

Where are the vacuum seals located ?

car is def stock . I beleive its the 240kw 135i . some of the rubber pipes do seem soft . There are no leaks or visible cracks on the vacuum pipes
i believe boost leaks throw off a fault code as 0030EE . which shows under boost targets . so I doubt there can be leaks.

Is there any BMW SPECIALIST in durban whom can help ?
