It's cool.

Long long ago on a misty morning in a galaxy far away.
I nearly had a nasty accident while overtaking as I mistook some punk that decided red lights go on the front of the car.. just saying.

You will never see these red looking lights when my lights are on, infact even if the lights are off you have to be at the right angle to see the red, and it doesn't emmit light so it would never cause a problem, and as far as night time is concerned, you cant see it at night unless my lights are off and you shine your lights into my car lights :)

Thanks :) Yes Thats exactly what I did, but I didn't just paint the cut off plate as that doesn't really have much of an effect as its a tiny piece of metal, I took the whole cut off plate with all its moving parts and the solenoid as a whole and painted the entire thing, I even painted the spring for the solenoid! I found that when I left all these little parts it gave a horrible uneven look to the lights.

Here is a close up :)

Hi Guys,

So I decided to go a different route with my car and my bike lights, I got a spare set of shrouds from Vsomai for my car so I decided to see what a blacked out look would look like with a painted red cut off!

Its very hard to get a descent picture of this type of thing as reflections and shit get in the way especially when using a phone camera so I just took my torch and faced it towards the car lights to give an idea of how it looks.

The lense itself is still clear and the light output is still exactly the same, pure white, but when the lights are off and you walk past the car it gives the effect of when you shine a torch into a cats eyes at night and it reflects back at you.

In this photo in real life there are no blues and greens and pinks! its just the shitty camera being a moron!

Thanks guys

what I am thinking of trying next is getting some low powered red LEDs and putting them inside to light that cut off plate up slightly just to make it slightly more visible when the park lights are on, could look interesting.
