And she is running, still a few things to sort out, bumper need to come off again, intercooler still a bit in the way and a few small odd ends, will get to the interior later.

The red looks great and I like the rims, awesome job. I'd probably go for the stock rear lights and maybe just do white on the indicators. Awesome thread!

I also do not like the tail lights, that was the only set i could find, my left rear tail light got missing, i have spares but the colour on the left side is diffrent from the right, i will play with a few ideas and see what i end up with. Front headlights alao got missing, found left and right at two diffrent shops including the corner lamps, new spares on these cars became a bitch to find.

Yes front lights look good to me, I know your still doing all the alignment but they look cool. I can believe that the parts can become difficult to find. No tail lights available at Goldwagen or so?

GW told me they stopped getting parts for the kadett. Maybe must try a diffrent GW branch.front lights just diffrent brand right is Lucas and left is DEPO, but looks very simmilar, the rear ones i had spare is the issue, the left is from a later model than the right, so the reverse light is diffrent from the one and the tint alao not the same, and hairline cracks on the lenses.

Last night played a bit with "tint spray" on one of my old lights, a little bit on the dark side bit me thinks it should do, when i have some time on my hands and can sort out the locks on the car, will remove and spray the rear lights.

So , after completing engine install and so on i have nursed it, the tank was half and was standing a year, so filled up a few times before going on a spirited driving trip, and unfortunately one of the valves did not comply... can also see that the guys that did my head , seem that they grinded the valve too much, anyway ppan was to put back a stock head so by tommorrow if i can get all the parts she will be running again. I thought one of the pistons could have been damaged but luckily not the case.

Something like that, it pulled better with stock head, I think too much takes away more on Comp. Ratio, hence the performance drop after the porting. While waiting , playing around a bit20220614_152527.jpg

After my nightshift sleep , spent some time assembling, ran out of time to complete, will do it tommorrow. Something that is bugging me, the one valve that burnt, can clearly see that it wasnt sealing properly and the "seal" ridge is totally off centre, now my question is, was the performance / boost drop after fitting this head ,the valve that did not seal properly or was it the porting that was way to big ? Maybe at a later stage will test that head again but for now, quite happy with how the current head came out. Making sure no old valves went back into this head, before i sent it, removed all valves and bought all new valves and semt it together with the head, also had the face on the exhaust manifold skimed to make sure it is "face". All exhaust studs, used locktite on the head side and from suggestions here on previous comments, got me a set of copper lock nuts so should not have any leaks there again.

Thanks for reading, if all goes well by tommorrow night this time i might report back on how she goes.
