Seems like we really are low on options with regards to aftermarket mechs.

I heard some scary stories about Chiplogic too, SA Autotech has just gone downhill. Heard some good and some bad from Glaziertech

:blueCry:

Read my thread , my intro my story- my car was at Glazier tech, be warned.

Thanks will do:thumbs:

I was recommended by BMW car club to use SA Autotech. My experience with them was very good.

Felt confident to leave my M3 in a shop that was full of M's.

Service was very professional, even got a courtesy call the day after fetching my car.

It was probably a blue moon that night

Hello All

My 2010 320d facelift (purchased a year ago) has only been serviced by Palm River Motors in Pinetown. Very professional and honest. They are RMI approved and do Warranty work. Speak to Kobie or Johann (Ex Forsdicks BMW). LABOUR RATE is R480 per hour.

I went to Veesan as well , HIs workshop is pritty cramped with many cars in there , lots covered in dust , some being worked on others not.

I had him replace my rear wheel bearings , disks and pads as well as the prop shaft coupling and center support bearing , I sat there and watched them do everything , I sat there for over 7 hours watching their every move LoL Also had them replace my cars power steering pump .

They did a good job on those repairs , I did supply them with all the parts and fluids . These were simple repairs though . And I watched them like a hawk as I already knew the procedures and made sure everything was done properly ( I sat there with instructions and followed them as they worked to make sure they were doing it as per my book haha ) .

What work did he do on your car? Why was it not by choice?

This was the one time I didn't take my car to BMW for a "sort of Big" repair , I was very nervous but it turned out ok.

How is he ? Is he still really really good? Any fanatics take their car there recently for repairs ?

Only place I trust with a car... Owner is ex bmw master tech and I have yet to see Sipho fail with a task given to him even when it's an aftermarket modification that needs done. The Important thing is they are trustable people which is hard to find in the repair world.

First of all holy thread necro Batman! :praise:

Hi guys with the amount of small problems that my car is starting to give me I am looking for a BMW specialist workshop that will take the time to give the car a good once over so to speak. Not just error read then error clean and hope for the best.

I would like to get honest straightforward advice on maintenance as well as preventative maintenance to keep my 2005 e90 320d happy for years to come.

I live in Durban so I thought it best to simply post on this thread and see which of the previously recommended shops can still be recommended.

Thanks in advance :ty:
