My 335i went in for carbon clean last week and I was very impressed with George Smooth and his team from Durban. I can see the massive investment being made in their facility and the pride in their workmanship. I would encourage X35 owners in KZN to take advantage of the service that they offer.

Now on to the results of the clean. The car feels so much smoother and alive. I am enjoying the drive. Will post some pics of the process soon.

I must also thank Kish2604 as he supervised and inspected everything whilst the car was being worked on. He noticed the vacuum pipes were looking tired and felt brittle so he changed them for me

Forgive my ignorance, but are carbon cleans mainly necessary for turbo charged cars or what?

Its not necessary but its recommended and can help solve issues like rough idles etc. And I'm sure your engine will last longer having one done every 100k kms. And I don't think its so much as turbo'd cars but direct injection cars. Maybe George or some one more knowledgeable will elaborate.
