Another "small" update:

This is something I've been looking for for a long while and when it came up for sale it was my luck and I just had to scoop it up! Its none other than the BMS F20/1/2 and F30/1/2/3 N55 Performance Intake :rollsmile:

Its also the 1st part I managed to fit myself, probably the easiest though :roflol::roflol:

On to the pics:

Fitted: Really really love the sound :inlove:

Will upload a vid of the intake once I get a chance to make one.

Thanks for looking!

Hi to all the fellow fanatics!

I'm not new to the forum although i have been very quiet these past years. LOL :fencelook: But I hope to be more active & meet the fellow fanatics!

As some of you might know already, about 3 weeks ago I took delivery of my brand new F30 335i Motorsport in Black Sapphire Metallic (my favourite colour)
I call her #blackbeauty :roflol:

It has black leather with the aluminium/blue stripe, sunroof, extended light pack, M 19" wheels, Business Nav & BMW connected drive services are the notable options.

I did the M Performance build after taking delivery as I wanted all the parts colour coded. Have to say it came out brilliant, colour was matched correct!! Will be doing the diffuser soon.

Still thinking of smoking the taillights, making the wheels gloss black and some other interior mods, later on an M Performance exhaust & JB4 but will keep the thread updated if anything further is done.

Would also like to give thanks to CF Accessories and Mo@AutoAccessorize!

And here are some pics of #blackbeauty!

Update as promised... :tiptoe:

As previously mentioned, the tips were sourced from Rennzport and DP was fabricated and fitted by TMSS (tips also installed by TMSS).

Thanks A LOT gents!!! Really appreciate the excellent service and workmanship!:ty:

Now down to the review...

So after driving the car a few times after fitting the DP this is what I think
Not owning a modified turbo car before this, I didn't know what to expect. I had a 320i before this but it was bok befok stock...:roflol:
So this is actually the 1st car I'm throwing mods into (and what better car to do so ). Also Youtube vids are a waste because most have kak audio and others just have full exhausts done, so no way to really know what to expect sound wise.

Was slightly nervous but pleasantly surprised at the outcome. Immediately, the sound on cold start had me smiling from ear to ear, much louder but not over the top. On idle, yes, it's not so lekker to the ear but I didn't worry about that at all because it quiets down. Then came the warm revs, even better! Much much more throaty and a deeper tone, absolutely loved it!

Whilst on the road is where I enjoyed it the most:
I immediately started off in manual mode. Although the cabin is still as quiet as before, you can hear the slight crackle and pop at the back on revs and shifts.
So I rolled down the window and started flipping through gears  Didn't pull too harsh because it was new but I pulled to about 4 and 5k a few times. The exhaust was really a lot more audible than before, I didn't expect that much diff with just a DP. And listening to the turbo spool, DAMN!!!:inlove:
I'm no expert but you really feel the difference pulling on lower rev, its got a bit more punch and gets onto boost quicker than before. And it being twin scroll, I suppose it aids in that respect too! When you let off the throttle you get that slight overrun which is nice too

All in all, really really happy with the work done and parts supplied! The stock DP is heavy too, so some slight weight savings I'd think :roflol:

Oh! And the zorst tips, they've been fitted just right, not too far out or in thus finishing up the rear of the car quite nicely IMO! :inlove:

Now for the pics :=):

The DP, Aftermarket vs Stock:

Thanks bud! I haven't been able to get down to doing a vid yet, maybe this weekend I'll hopefully have some time.

The JB4 was fitted the day after I posted the pic, the car feels much much more lively. I've been running it on autotune for the moment because I'm playing with Ethanol and recently bought race fuel so looking to see what gains there are between these. Haven't had a chance to log with the race fuel yet so I'm hoping this weekend I'll have time. I will be putting the car on the dyno for the 1st time after doing the upgrades at our Dyno Day next month. Will post figures thereafter.

Nice.

I'd throw on a different set of wheels though. These are just wayyyyy too common.

The budget doesn't allow for wheels right now LOL. I have however resprayed them black and I like the look.
