Hi all,

What do you guys think? Would appreciate any comments.

Used Rustoleum Flexidip Graphite. Took 1 hour (mostly waiting for paint to dry between coats).

Cheers!

Need to redo mine, what did you use to clean up the edges and neaten the lines? Looks good.

Thanks Yulz, I used the corner of a damp micro fibre cloth, wooden toothpick and my thumb. Took a bit of time, but it came out right I think

Looks amazing and gives a good contrast to the white. Bonus marks for doing it so neatly even though it was still on the car!

Thanks KidB. The most difficult part was the 'Cleaning up' around the digits. Had to be careful and patient. But it was worth it.

How did you mask off the numbers and manage to spray then on the car? Weren't you worried about overspray?

Hi Freerider, I used the Rustoleum Flexidip which is the same as Plasti dip. It's a spray on paint that you can peel off. So what I did was i used some masking tape and paper, garbage bags and taped around the digits (about 1 inch away). Then sprayed on 5 coats, waiting 8 mins in between each coat. After the final coat was dried, I peeled away. It is really easy to use and gives an awesome result.

Cheers Marchant. Which colour did you have yours in? And did you take it off because of peeling or some other reason?

Mine I did in matt black. I did it with a friend of mine who did his Audi and after about 6 months I took it off. Did not peel as I expected but it did not fit with the fairly non modded exterior of my car.

I was actually looking for the gloss black, but purchased the Graphite by mistake. It turned out ok. This is my first mod on the car, next I'll be putting on a boot spoiler and grills. Will probably spray my rims after that. The best part of the flexidip is if I don't like it, I just peel it off!

Jup that's the great thing about it. I know plasti dip has a glossifier that you can spay on afterwards to get that glossy look no sure about Flexidip.
