Question about service indicator

Hi guys

My e46 has 17K before it's next service, recentley a clock (watch) is displaying on top of the service indicator whereas it never used to be there before.

I'm just curious what this means? The service book says nothing about this clock.

Brake fluid flush due. Not really important. If i were you just do it at your next service unless under motorplan...

I thought the clock meant that a certain amount of time has passed since your last service, and it was time for another one.
