Evening Gents
My brother in law recently purchased a 1981 leyland mini. I'm helping him to fix small these here and there and big things will go to a workshop. He has it for a week and so far I just did a service and I installed a radio and sone speakers nothing hectic for now, previous owner said it was serviced a month ago but ya. The oil was very dirty and over filled (took out like 8 litres from the engine), the spark plugs were old and black, different sizes and different brands so I wasn't driving that smooth. It was missing terribly.
Anyways after the service it's going smooth again and surprising very fun to drive as I've never driven 1 before. The aim is to get it driving properly again and fixing all the small things. Then last it will go to a body shop and fix the rust here and there and full respray.
At the moment I'm busy with the gear selector as it battles to get into 2nd and moves alot when the car is in gear and I'm busy with the speedo cluster. Some lights on the speedo cluster wasn't working so I took it apart and ya it's not a very pretty sight. So we gonna try and find another 1 or see if it can be repaired. Any suggestions?
