Theres a MBT down the road from me, i always fill up there. I havent seen 102 there though. It`s a SASOL product apparently.

This product is made by Sasol. Blue in colour, 102.6 Octane and smells like Afgas. If it is Afgas it's not completely lead free and with time will harm your cats and oxygen sensor. Bp 98 Octane unleaded racing fuel is green in colour. Strange that on the pump only stands 102 Octane but does not mention unleaded.

No i have not used it as i think it's not lead free as it will harm my cats and oxygen sensors as well as the spark plugs. Asked the manager (Johan) at the fuel station to get me some info from Sasol about the fuel. I think it's Afgas as years ago i usd to buy it from Wonderboom Airport to used on my modified TRD. Got a sample, the colour and smell is of Afgas so will not try it on my 1M until i'm 100% sure it's lead free. I always add a bottle of NF when i fill up my tank and it works great.

Why does it not say 102 Octane Unleaded on the pump as it has on the other side 93 Unleaded
102 Octane is low lead but not lead free.

I tried some this weekend in my E36 M3

Paid R200 for 10.4 liters

According to NAAMSA S50B32 engine is happy with
both leaded or unleaded - LRP recommended..!

The car runs nicer with 102 than 95 unleaded
