Preferred Brake Brand F20

What are the best/preferred brake brands when it comes to the F20 model? Like normally the ATE are best, but for some odd reason - ATE has not yet been made available for the F20. Need to replace my front brake pads and sensors urgently

What does BMW use? Its rebranded BMW but anyone know the original manufacturers?
Sorry, more questions than answers from my side.
Ferrodo squeak, ATE are ok, performance pad perhaps something from powerbrake, endless?

with almost all these cars still on MP I doubt you will find the pads aftermarket yet...

I can get you some performance pads but these will probably come in at the same price as BMW or more

what F20 do you have? maybe we get lucky and it shares pads with an older car I will have a look for you

I have the F20 118i, 2013 model, would the 2012 model ATE pads fit perhaps? Don't really want to use Ferodo's though

Brand is irrelevant. Compound is what counts.

What do you want from a brake pad?

Long life? - Ceramic pads last longest most commonly

Quiet? - Organic pads (NAO)

Pedal feel? - Semi metallic or ceramic

Initial bite? - Semi metallic

Less fade? - Semi metallic / Ceramic

Less dust? - Ceramic

Even between these three different types of pads there are many different compounds.

If you don't know what you want, go to BMW, they have pads that suit your needs.

Yip I agree, agents will be best for everyday day general use.

They will be a little more pricey, but they won't squeal, squeak or rattle so definitely worth it in my book.

I've never had aftermarket pads squeek or squeal due to pads. Just saying.
