Pre-owned cars....BMW

Hi All. I have been offered a BMW320D, 2003, 124 000km for R90, 000. The BMW service history says this car has had 2 turbo changed since 2003. I hear that turbo problems on BMW have been sorted out?? Do you think I should buy the car? Any advise appreciated.

That is a good price, but I can't say about the turbo. My 320d has done 142000km without a hint of trouble. I won't be able to say if a car will eat another turbo if it has done so before, but what were the causes for the previous failures?

Freerider did a turbo change on a previous car of his and ended up coughing up R24k! Not pretty...

Other thing to watch out for is the vibration damper pulley on the crank. It can cost from R2k to R4k depending on the shop, but then again, I'm still running fault free on my 320d.

That price is as good as you are going to get if for now. Is it stock, exclusive or sportpack?

Where's the car from? That sounds a lot like my old one!!! If not, mine is still unsold, 2003 320D, Sport pack, bluetooth, nav, sunroof, turbo replaced 2007 under MP, full service history, etc. Interested, call Ricky at Subaru PE 041-4843331. Price :dunno: , but I know that car is still in very good nick! I reckon you make them a good offer, they'll let it go...used Bimmers all over the show at the moment going cheeeeep-cheeeep!
