Jip, it's gonna hurt real bad when that seller eventually falls off his pedestal and back down to reality :hammerhead:

Ye, id say 10k for the lot and see them restored.

Yeah I am with you on this one. Mate bought 3 running and driving 7ers for an average of 15K each from various corners of Soweto... messaged him to see if he will post his experiences here. No engine/No papers/autobox is challenging on the 6...

Unless someone is sitting with parts, even with money and space, this is going to take a long time to track everything down if you are going all out IMHO. If you look at the cost when you start actually costing a restoration on even a relatively modern car like an E36 M3 where parts are still available and not with hoarders or decaying in scrap yards, it becomes off-putting... and then still consider that your estimate will likely be on the low side...

I visited their facebook page, and it seems like they have a kak-huis yard full of stuff from 2002's to these posted here
they say they do restoration of classic cars, so possibly these cars here have donated all the rare parts already for a restoration car, and are possibly beyond rescue and restoring anyways

These are parts cars, nothing more. In order to build these you will end up buying 3 or 4 more parts cars to finish these. A nut and bolt restoration would be financial suicide, given the amount of missing parts they would be better candidates for historic race car builds instead of full restoration builds.

If one had to pay R10k for both and decide to abandon the project, I doubt they will be able to recover the R10k by selling off the parts and scrap...:dunnoanymore:

Scrap metal, these are. Only one of them is a decent classic to try and restore (if it was worth it). The 7er is nothing special, and is the one in better condition. So is the price majorly justified, in his mind, for the 7er?

It's that thinking that makes these things stand for so long and eventually become parts bins and eventual scrap heaps in the first place.

No way yhis guy will be getting 80k for these cars. Too much work and money needed to restore these to cars

I know of a guy who owned a Henna Red 635csi and he struggled to sell it for 65grand and it was a MINT vehicle. 100% original
