Howzit guys,

I'd like to get an opinion about the Porsche brand. Focusing more on their sporty offerings rather than the Macan and Cayenne. I'm definitely not in the market for one but maybe one day.

Have anyone owned a Porsche before and if so which model and what's your experience with the car?

Of course I like polls so here's your options:

1) Had/have a Porsche and appreciate them
2) Had one and disliked it
3) Never had one and never will
4) I want one but I'm too poor

If you aspire to owning a Porsche one day let me know which model and why?

Personal opinion if I were to upgrade my F82 my next car is a Porsche. The are amazing supers cars which are built properly and it really shows on the track. I would to have the new 911 turbo or 911 turbo s but currently too poor

I've driven a Cayman GTS and its amazing... even with all the electronics... you still feel so involved in what the car is doing. And that growling NA flat 6 is something special.

Usually not a fan of forced induction... but they've been doing it for decades... I'd have a 991.2 Turbo... or even a Carrera GTS

Have driven a previous generation to current model 911 GTS (2wd) and it was in my view awesome.

Have driven a previous generation Boxster as a hire car in UK - I asked for a gps in my hire order. They ran out of GPS's so Europcar says "we'll upgrade you to a car with GPS sir"....... and they handed me keys to a Boxster :rollsmile: .... nice car but crap demister system which is odd considering where it originates. Maybe I couldn't get the settings right :biglol:

My dream Porsche garage?

His:
Cayman GT4
911 GT3 (new model just released)

Hers:
Cayenne S Diesel

aaaaaanyway.....back to work slave. (whip whip):roflol:

Porsche favourites:

993 shape GT2
996 shape turbo
Carrera GT

Have never driven a Porsche, sadly - we can all dream :)

Always felt however that the 911 (and their occasional supercar, 918, 959, carrera gt) they aren't quite that special. But maybe I'm just a silly prawn :p

You are missing an option: 'Want one in future'

For me:
GT3 RS or GT2
Cayman GT4
718 Boxter S

However given current pricing I may be more tempted to go with a McLaren

I'm old school. I have owned three air-cooled versions before (3.0 SC 911, 3.2 Carrera Targa and 3.6 C2 964) with real character.

The newer water-cooled cars are nice but too expensive unless you are related to the Ruperts.

My dream car would be a 918 or a Carrera GT. A more practical dream is a 993 Turbo.

Nice choice of cars, though the 718 4 cyclinder is a bit of a non-occasion..
