Owned a cayman s in manual with sports exhaust. It was an experience second to none, having the motor behind you and pushing it to redline is something to be experienced. It is and feels like a sports car should. The only car I can compare it to interms of raw driving experience is an E36 M3. Trust me even a cayman is good enough, my car was driven hard and never had a problem with it. Sadly it is gone now but Some day soon I will be blessed with my next car goal 355 coupe Manual.

I've driven a Cayman 2.7, the handling and the sound of that car is something else and I loved it. I need that car in my life.

I've owned a 997.1 gt3 rs, 997.2 carrera gts, 2012 cayenne v6, 2014 Cayman

I've experienced a 981 Boxster s, 997.1 gt2, 997.1 turbo , 991 carrera s, macan s, panamera s

Every single one of these cars are amazing in their own right. And here is the amazing bit ... Even in the 911 range they all have their unique characteristics. For me the gt NA models are just sublime. Might not be the quickest but sure are the most engaging and fun

I will get a gt3 rs again soon ... In 991 guise

My current lust list

1: 964 turbo 3.6 in black or white
2. 993 RS in Miami blue
3. 991 gt3 rs in birch green

Seems like there is a lot of love for these, although most seem to be for the newer models. I guess that comes down to availability? My mind still struggles with a turbo air-cooled car I have to admit.

The older air-cooled ones are out of reach for 95% of the people. A 70's car selling for +- R500k will not be financed by the bank. So the newer ones can at least be financed and attainable if one can afford.

2) 964 RS
3) 930 Turbo
4) Cayman GT4 (The only modern Porsche that tickles my fancy)

I've driven / been co-driver in a 924 , friends pride and joy, at the time , the 924 was 30 years old, hit 200 km/h with easy, cruised at 140km/h and returned 13km per litre. Good part was going to VW to get parts at 1/3 of Porsche prices . Handled like a go kart. enjoyed it.
Also driven a 944 , enjoyed that too

Fellow BMSC member has 32 year old 911, driven hard almost every day, owner enjoys he track days! , sounds lovely

I've had a look at a few 928's over the years - but the service costs scare me!
Been thinking of getting a Boxster instead of a Z4 , but would like a Panamera if $$$ was not an issue

as for 911's prefer late 70 and 80's models
