dnt waste your time with bmw upgrade.. Every chip/flash/piggy.. Whatever.. Is still gonna whip it.

It will probably cost 20k for 20kw.

Revo, its a local guy thats on carforums.co.za goes by the name of M&M.

my bro and I were speaking to him about it the other day. Hes already done it on a few 335's and his 335. Its a custom flash. Hes a really nice guy and does it as a hobby. Saw quite a few interesting races after he chipped.

Sorry if i sound like a tool. Dont know to much about flashing or chipping to be honest.

645m I would love to pass that info on to my brother but I really would like to see him alive in 10 years time :p

PMAC, I think waiting for bmw will be a waste of time! as revo said, you'll pay 20k for 20kw.

sick car PMAC!
have you ever thought about going with a LSD and some "non run-flat" tires before a tune?
i rate putting the power down effectively is more important than how much kw's/torque you make @ the flywheel/wheels, it will also transform that beast in the twisties...

niiiice, very niiiice.

word up guys, the JMPD just got 15 335i's for the sheriffs of each department.

saw the convoy on the krugersdorp(N14) a week ago

these things go like snot!

wont easily outrun them... however, i wonder how long there will be 15.... till a head of state drives one up a tree, or into the nearest gas pump...

Thanks guys, I would like to put in a front strut soon to improve body torsion in cornering, and may chip it. (waiting for a price for a chip) The run flat tyres on this respond far better than the ones I had on the 330i I had before. Even with the lowered suspension on the sports package on the 335 the ride is far smoother and less ridgid than the 330 without a lowered suspension or sports package. I have also found that with the combination of the tyres and suspension the 335i seems less likely to follow the ruts on tar roads. The handling in general is far better than the 330. I am not sure if the technology has improved with the run flat tyres, or because they are now mostly imported from the EU.

As the car does not come with a spare tyre I am a bit wary in changing to normal tyres, cos if you have a problem, your stuffed. The 335 also has a smaller cubby below the flap in the boot and carrying a spare, even a marie is a problem.

I am new to BMW Fanatics, but really enjoys it. On RUN FLAT TIRES: Changing from E39 525i (normal tyres) to E91 320d with run flats is quite a come down in a comfort ride. I definately want to switch to normal 205/55/16 with a marie (in a nice cover + Jack)in the boot. Conversions for the marie holder under boot space is available, but not for the E91. Only E90. Perhaps it can be modified. I travel to Namibia quite often. To loose a run flat near Mariental, will probably result in buying a new normal tyre AND a new run flat in Windhoek! But, the main reason is the posibility of a much more comfortable ride. Can anybody tell me what their experiece was with such a change with regards to "more comfortable" I cannot think that there will be any swerve on the open road at speeds less than 160km/h.
