PLEASE HELP?? Interested in Buying a 2011 118i auto?

Hi Guys
im shopping around for a bmw for my sister, came across a good deal - bmw 118i auto 2011 model with 30k on the clock. for 220k?

wanted to know has anyone had any issues with there 1 series in the past? or major mechanical problems that might occur? esp being a auto box?

My gf has a 2005 model 118i. It has about 113k on the clock and still drives well. It has the manual box and would imagine the auto it would be quite sluggish. The car hasn't given any problems except a gasket needed replacing around 100k, aside from that only regular maintance was done

A friend of mine has an E90 318i (yes you all read that right) and the engine has been bulletproof so far, just has to be taken car of well. Found the car to be quite slow and can only imagine how sluggish an auto would be, I don't think it really matters if the car is for your sister.

When my sister starts driving she's getting a 114i :fencelook:

Had a 116i 2005, never had any problems with that car, very reliable...! :thumbs:

I owned a 118i manual and loved the little thing... never had any problems. I would not go for an auto though... just my 2c.

unfortunately my sister wont budge on the auto part, otherwise manual would be first option.
