Please Help - Diesel to Petrol Convertor

Hi everyone!

I need some urgent help as I'm stuck on the side of the N2 in Durban :(

It seems like the Diesel to Petrol Convertor in my car is broken :(

With the price of petrol that's so high, I paid for my mechanic to install this device on my BMW 325is (box shape) he topped up my tank last week when I picked it up and today I filled some 50PPM diesel in my car, now I'm losing power and the car won't even start!

Please help! Could it be the modifications that I have fitted? My dad bought me a BroSpeed branch and exhaust, and I think this is causing the issue?

PLEASE HELP ME!!!!

Hmmm, the problem is that these parts are not OEM

Hi Nikhil, are you saying that if i fit the oem exhaust and branch that this issue will go away?

It could possibly the reason, have you also replaced your spark plugs with glow plugs ?

PetrolNoob,

Please, provide us with some more information. This Petrol to Diesel converter, what exactly is it? Could your mechanic have completed the installation incorrectly? Maybe when you filled up the attendant had a bit of knowledge on cars and realized that your box shape is not a Diesel?

Saying that your car has no power now due to it being diesel is blasphemy. Diesel cars have mad power.

Ahh dam, the brospeed... That is the problem. I suggest removing it, going to a reputable exhaust shop, any of the gents on the side of the road with ramps an gas canisters should be sufficient. They know what they need to do.
