My car has plastic number plates that are looking a bit tired..

Im not a fan of the new GP number plates, with the rivets:yuck:

Does anyone know where i can get new plastic plates made in Gauteng?

I hate mine too.... i.e. metal plates

I know there are people who have new plastic plates, i have seen one or two cars on the new format plates eg: BB 11 BB GP and they were plastic and borderless.

So it can be done, its just a question of where:fencelook:

I hate the metal plates - they really make the car look cr@p, especially with the plastic bracket around it :thumbdo:

I know it's law to have them riveted on, but I'm seeing more and more of them that are not.

Theres a place just up the road from Autostyle in Mayfair that does plastic plates. I cant remember the number but they definite do it. Had a set done about 3 weeks ago.

I thinks its Mint Road

That would be Church Str, if it's the one just up the road from them

The shop can do plastic plates, R200 each.

with the amount of roadblocks in GP and the even greater number of cops with "klein mannetjie" syndrome I would just stick to the law and get the crappy metal plates with silly pop rivets. :sorry:

i can understand that and i agree, but they don't really give me grief because my cars are all older and have got plastic plates on already. the plates are looking a little old and i wanted to replace them, without changing to metal plates.

makes sense then. Older plates Pre- "BB XX BB GP" and you can just say you got the car like that.
