Plasti Dipped my badge

Did this last night, Car needed a small touch and I had 2 cans of plastidip in the garage :rollsmile:

Please share how you did it? I saw some guy masked the badge off and sprayed it, thereafter using a toothpick to take out the bits and bobs not needed?

is this the correct way? your badge looks OEM dude, frikkin nice!

Its quite easy i did not even use the toothpick! Mask of entire boot area, expose the badge and leave some area around the badge in order to peal off plasti dip. Apply the first two coats (very light) 30 minutes between each coat. There after apply it thicker for the next two or three coats. I finished the final coat at 12 am went to bed came back in the morning and peeled off the plasti dip.

Looks good bud. I personally feel it cheapens the car a lil but each to their own. Maybe with a glossifier coat it can pop a lil more, make it a lil shinier.

Well done though on a clean job of it. I've seen some terrible attempts

I am not a fan of gloss especially for the badges, its removable so if I get bored it will come off instantly..


I think its something different too
