Well done Prevan.

Thanks for the write up. Can never get enough of an e36 M3.

Im sure just a few minutes with this machine on the road has already made up for all the strife...

More pics of the engine bay progress...

In the mean time, I started giving the headlights a makeover with the help of fellow forumite Heven

This started off as a bi-xenon upgrade and ended up as a quad xenon upgrade which was finished by Vsomai very professionally and neatly. Pics of the finished product will be posted as the thread unfolds

The pics of the lights that are posted are not the finished product. The finished product looks even better and I have just finished sorting out the fog lamps but will only post pics as the thread unfolds

After the car was done at the Panel Beater it was put on a roll back and taken to the mechanic for the engine and gearbox to be re-installed

Items not planned for but had to be replaced:

Clutch slave cylinder which due to the piston being lost whilst at the panelbeater
Master cylinder for reasons not understood by me :bangdesk:
power steering hydraulic pipes due to kink in old pipe

This took what seemed like an eternity and then I got the call to pick her up

The headlights were then sent to VSomai to be completed

Some additional pics after a little bit of cleaning

One of my favourite pics in this journey to date

Now with the fogs wired up as well

The car is far from perfect. She has lots of little niggles but tons of character. She is not the fastest out there but still turns heads even as a 20 + year old machine. I love driving this car and I enjoy learning about her through the trials and tribulations. I will continue my love affair with this gal for a long long time and she will probably be high maintenance during this time.

So am I crazy to do this......certifiably so :inlove:
