Still scared of spacers, but with OEM wheels the E90 needs it visually - wide rears are still better than narrows on the rears! :idea:

Hub centric spacers are perfectly safe. People use these on racing cars which incurs major stress. Those that aren't safe are the plain spacers which put stress on the studs. Anything more than 5mm on a plain spacer becomes dodgy. Also, you HAVE to get longer bolts.

ive been running 25mm spacers all round for a while now with uprated suspension wheels have not fallen off yet :rollsmile:

Does one get OEM style wheel bolts (also a lock type) for the increased length? Not keen on using bolts that look like they come from builder's warehouse etc... Then I must say, I can see myself widening my car's stance a bit, especially the rear! :thumbs:

I agree with Herr bmw, colour code the splitters. Dont add cf mirror covers and leave your boot spoiler colour coded. Nice Sexy classy look. Here is a pic:

I think in the case of my car being sparkling graphite it may not be necessary to colour code, but splitters, mirror caps and boot spoiler to balance the look of course!

In your case the CF is a bit more subtle so it can work.
As for TiAg/white non sport, CF splitters (on their own) look like they are trying a bit too hard. You need several mods to pull it off as such a contrast on the lip/splitter is quite an aggressive statement. Although at the end of the day, if you like what you see & you don't care what others think, go for it. :thumbs:

I have some crazy plans for my E90... Not sure if it'll be able to pull it off though. If it turns out like I'm picturing it, it'll be awesome but it won't be everyones cup of tea. It'll definitely make a statement

Just to be clear, the reason I'm emphasizing non sport is because those splitters go all the way to the side of the bumper while the sport splitters leave the outer bumper silver/white.

Yes as well as a few others, but I prefer to do my own thing.
I've noticed they like to Murder & slam their cars :fencelook:
For those who don't know:
Murder: make all/most of your black car's parts black ie. mags, window trim, headlights & tint windows, sometimes even tail lights.
Slam: make your car ridiculously low.

My M-sport is already too low & I don't like blacking out everything, especially mags as you lose all the detail. Not much you can do to a black car & I'm not going the black & red route as that has been done before too.
I'm not a fan of CF either... So I had my work cut out for me.
Within the next few weeks my project should be done & I'll share the pics here first (of course.)

To give you an idea, if I had an AW, TiAg or Blue car, I'd make all the bits Gloss black but since my car is already black that'd be pointless.
So had to rethink my strategy, staying away from crazy mods/colors. Subtle & close to stock while still being unique. My LCI conversion was the 1st step, every time I see that rear... :inlove::inlove::inlove:

Yep, debadge, murder and slam, not a fan of most of it, but some of the others in-between this are quite tasteful and look good! :thumbs:

I find the roundel mods a crime though, you shouldn't mess with BMW's logo.
I managed to convince a few of them to keep it stock :joy:
I look forward to messing with Plastidip but doubt I'd do anything permanent. Saw some crazy racing stripes made with 'dip which looked good as a temporary mod. Ok, uploaded a pic. Don't judge me, I'd never do this if it was permanent :rollsmile:

Okay, so CF roundels a no-no for you - I would fit CF roundels but keep the originals, I think maybe the purist inside me has prevented me to do this as of yet...

No permanent mods are ideally the way to go though, at least when it comes to keeping good resale value on a car! :thumbs:

Honestly, I've never understood the hype behind CF. It doesn't look THAT good & who can really say the weight makes a difference. Maybe 1% of the people on this thread would actually benefit from the weight savings but only for things like a hood & trunk perhaps. If it was cheap it'd be different but people spending several thousands on a piece of CF... really? Even the chinese rep CF parts are pricey & you are taking a risk with the finish.

Well, CF for specific structural parts where weight savings can be worthwhile maybe, but for the rest it is most likely a gimmick. When it comes to the roundels it's nothing to do with weight savings of course, it's simply the visual style of being CF, but for me it has to be normal black/white CF, not white/blue.

Oh, getting back to the debadging, I am proud to be a 330i pilot, so not going to take it off - boils down to different strokes...
