e91 and e92 is the coupe and touring. I think you mean the e90 LCI (facelift). Turbo lag will be no different between auto and manual, but the auto has its own type of lag... Of course with the auto there is no lag with gearshifts, which is only possible with manual if you keep the right foot on the floor during changes :rollsmile:

I dont know where you guys get that bmw NA petrols do not have torque low down when they have pretty much the flattest torque curve of any car...

hey moranor, yes the torque curves are very flat but the Ds have higher torque curves to the equivalent petrol model, which allow for better in gear accelaration. You will really notice the legs on a diesel and fuel economy on the open road travelling distances.

my own 330d after remap+decat+egr removed.. power at the wheels.. once you go tractor, you struggle to go back :) though i like a free revving petrol as much as the next guy..
