Personalised number plates

So does anyone know how much it is for personalised number plates? It it a once-off or annual fee?

Just curious on this one: With the introduction of the new GP plates (BB 11 BB GP), are the old 3x3 ones still available as personalised plates (e.g. BOB 123 GP)?

i couldve taken my previous plate over,it was 007 cjk gp,but decided to go the full monty,since the wife had hers.

Yea, CPT plates are really cheap when you go for the 7 characters (alpha-numeric).

did mine 2 months ago.

there are many hidden costs.

Total custom plate costs R4025 (it's actually cheaper than the xxx 123 gp plate)

Plates = R3575
New licence disc = R 400
New licence plate holders = R150

and also bear in mind that only new steel plates are allowed to be made, if you want it the legal way, which isnt totally bad, but doesnt look as cool as pvc plates
