I tried plastidip on the 6-er but it came off after a while. It's not great on frequently touched surfaces. You could try a vinyl spray.

I am pretty sure that you can remove the painted bits from the wheel itself. I know that I could with the 6-er.

So this weekend i got to work fixing the steering wheel didnt come out to badly.

I used tamiya plastic primer and duplicolor vinyl and fabric spray.
I cleaned the steering wheel up with thinners it doesnt damage the plastics.
Taking the steering wheel off was a tricky I used this video for reference.
after i got the trim off i thought ill just rough it up a bit for the primer to stick so i used steelwool to just sand it down a bit.
after this i sprayed on the primer and the the duplicolor it came out very nice wil start with the console soon if i can figure out how to remove it.

That came out great!

I ended up wrapping mine in Matt black, spray painting is something I really suck at.

Thx guys any idea how to remove the console ?

The centre one where the radio sits? It just clips out. Best is to start at the bottom and gently pull it out, working your way to the top

The layers are peeling where the cup holder is at the back. So if u open the compartment your cup holder is there i need to remove that whole centre console.
