Painting Titanium Silver

Hi all,

I have found a decent e46 330d auto, but the problem is that the driver sider front fender is a fair bit dented.

Some dents are a lil bad.

I will go to the Paintless Dent Removal people to see if they can massage the dents out of the car but if this is not possible, then I want to get the car painted.

Titanium Silver seems like its not a very easy colour to paint. I am very fussy when it comes to colour matching, so those who do get my car will have to do an Excellent job.

I know that Sankekur had his 330i front bumper replaced, and the colour match seems perfect. Thats the kind of quality im looking for.

I've had my front bumper resprayed (in TiAg) for R700 a year ago and it really looks the part. You really should be a backyard shop to mess it up. Any decent shop these days have at least some sort of process to make sure you get what you require.

Good call on doing the WHOLE fender. BMW did 3 spot jobs on my fender and after 3 years it shows in bright sunlight :(

@hellas, if it were up to me, i would paint the whole car. But as i type that, my wallet is hurting already.

I will have to get the fender painted, and then they will have to blend the paint at the door and the bonnet to get at least a consistent colour. Even if they use the OEM colours, one can still notice a fresh bit of paint over existing paint.

I need a "Rib" for the front bumper. (those ribs on the exclusive bumper, where the air flows in).

If i can get that rib and the fender sorted then 90 % of the cars exterior will be sorted.

There is a crease on one of the back doors, where it seems that the body work was pushed in and pull out again, but i can live with that. Its the Fender and that rib that worries me.

dont plan on painting the whole car. just the driver side front fender.

oh thought you wanted to respray the whole car... i don think Ti is that hard to match compared to other paints... just get it to a proper shop and you should be fine

Titanium silver is very easy to match aparently. Its stuff like saf black and Arbee's car colour that will give you trouble.

XMAX, the guys that Sankekur used are really good friends of mine, and believe me, they take pride in what they do.
Ask Sankekur how pleased he is with the work they did. If you willing to come from Midrand to them, I can promise you, you will be happy.
Maybe give them a call first, ask to speak to Dino, tell him Francois Spietkop sent you. :)
