Normally if there is a oil residue in the exhaust from the turbo it takes a while to burn out. if it doesn't come from a different source.
So drove about 10 km, she is still smoking, removed plugs, no sign of oil burning. The misfire i had on cylinder #3, is now gone. So will drive it some more and see what she does. Have not pushed her yet bit can hear the spooling of the turbo's a bit louder than with the XM cores . Glad i did the swop, clearly had damage on the one turbo. Time will tell.

It makes sense, did go through this rodeo before and smoke was gone , it did not take a while. I gambled doing the snails first, i was lucky to find diffrent damage to one of them and it solved a misfire issue that have been hunted for quite some time now.

The turbo solved a missfire issue?

Took the car on a 200km drive after all fluids changed in engine bay, after the swop, it feels like we lost a bit on low down torque( turbo lag). Higher up there is a bit more punch than before. She does also have a bigger bark than before, the noises voming from the exhaust is something else.

So, just something to consider, may or may not be worthwhile investigating unless you've done it already. Has that engine ever had a carbon clean? The engine is direct injection, so as per normal for any direct injection engine, carbon build up is a thing. And you've got well earned and used mileage. I remember on my RS4 after I did a carbon clean it was like a new car, no smoking, lots of power, it made a massive difference.
