I blame the guy teaching the girlie, he should have drove out to a quiet area and then let her take the wheel. There are lots of area's close by with no houses or any traffic.

We got shit luck...

Hired an IX35 for my wife so she can travell to work on Wednesday as the 335 is ready in 20 days time, she loved it and wanted to get one as a second car for her by the end of Thursday. Friday morning while standing still in traffic on the N1, a chinese lady in a Mercedes tail ended her and IX35 had to be towed back to Avis. The wife was devistated, 2 cars fcuked within a week and not her fault:cry:...the only fortunate part was that it was a rental and luckily for me not one of my cars:idea:...but I wouldn't say that to her:rollsmile:

Sorry about that bud... Having a similar car, I completely feel your pain. :sorry:

The plastic fender thing is nothing new. Even the old Renault Clio 1's and Renault Megane 1's had plastic fenders. Plastic in high impact, will deform and absorb the impact, instead of metal, which remains rigid somewhat and transfers most of the impacts force to the occupants.

Yeah, there are a few cars around with plastic fenders, other halfs Peugeot 307 's are as well. The E90 sedan are metal - at least mine were thats why I asked as it seems only the coupes are plastic.

I don't know hey, never happened to us before...:nonono:...on the plus side, been driving in our H1 bus everyday and not having some power behind me over the weekends has got me thinking.....I need something youthful again just for myself...
I'm really thinkin of getting a R32 to mess around with...19's some coils and a wicked exhaust...if I get bored maybe a supercharger...

After some delays on parts, picked up the 335 on Friday from BMW, few minor things still need to be sorted which I was not too happy about but otherwise the car is back to normal, actually it feels a little better than before if possible.
Exhaust is a bit louder and the car seems more free...don't know but the drive feels alot better...:inlove:

Will post picks soon..

 Glad to hear - but the bad news i have for you is that the car now has this history on it and drops the value conciderably :sorry:, this should be covered by that idiot so that he learns from his mistake.

Sorry about the accident glad everyone came out alright and to your wife in the IX35 accident phew . If the exhaust sounds louder they might have not connected everything right which lets sound come through ?

Thanks...but thats the strange thing here, BMW never touched the engine or exhaust. All they did was replace the door, fender, bumper, right front suspension bits and put in a new dash. The body and frame of the car was intact so it was merely just the panels that was replaced. Anyhow I'm loving the new feel and sound...
