After an awesome Sunday morning breakfast and drive thru the winelands with the family our day ended like this...

200m away from home, a learner driver being thought how to drive, lost control of her car whilst turning, mistook the gas pedal for the brake and rammed into our adopted black baby twice. The first time hitting the front wheel and breaking the control arm and ripping the front runflat. Her car then bounced back and again rammed into my door. The BM's windows blow out, windscreen scattered and airbags deployed...fortunately tho my little one who always crys to sit with his mom in the front was seated in the rear and suffered no injuries along with his mom except alittle shock from the huge impact. I suffered some muscle spasms and slight cuts and bruises to my hands, shoulder and back but nothing too serious. My darling wife is shattered as her car is fcuked...:nonono:

That is unfortunate!

Main thing is that you and your family are okay.

Learner driver, ah, just makes it worse because you know its from inexperience but how else does one learn!

Thank god the family is all okay, even more so that that little one was in the back.
Cars are material things and can be replaced, life, you cannot.
Thank goodness you guys are all okay

Thanks guys, family cannot be replaced thats why I consider it a fortunate accident as no one was really injured.

But I would have preffered to fcuk up the car doing something stupid myself, then I know it was my fault but like this is just silly. As you can see from the pic, we were coming up to the Stop...we were travelling less than 20km when it happened.

As long as family is fine!

But I don't understand why the "boyfriend" would teach the woman how to drive in a place like that, especially if she really can't drive. I mean, if a person confuses an accelerator pedal with a brake pedal, then I don't think they can drive at all.... better to take that person to a remote location until they're good enough to be on public roads...

I've taught both my elders sisters how to drive as well as a few female friends... and I also did it in remote locations first until I'm comfortable that they can go on a public road.

Hope you get the car sorted soonest bud...
Take care.

:nonono:  really great that you and your family are fine!

Ok... now seriously? Learner driving without another licenced driver, let alone an instructor? I cannot believe how the rim has litterally broken on the mini too? :fencelook: :nonono: :argh:

Hope the insurance / replacement process goes smoothly!

So depressing!!
Glad all ok with the family.

Just an interesting thing for me that I was not aware of and thats the front fenders on your car appear to be plastic the way its broken over the wheel arch. Is that fact with the E92 coupe? Correct me if wrong.
