Opinions to take refund or keep car

Hi all

Recently purchased an e46 325i msport auto with 110kms. Was told it had a full service history at bmw and was one owner. . Subsequently found out it has 3 previous owners and looks like the last service was not at bmw. Also it was stolen and recovered in 2011, though the hpi report does not show this and the vin has not changed. The car also had an oil leak that has been fixed. So I have been given the option to either get a refund or keep the vehicle. Your guys thoughts?

Take the money, if they already deceived you with ownership and service history who knows what else is lurking.

I'm sure you will find something better / honest

if you (and your heart) really want this car, nows the right time to negotiate

either ask for a full refund
or
offer to "still" take the car, but at a negotiated reduced price (-15% or so ?), due to the lies and deception, basically depreciating the price of the car, so a small "cash-back", which you now could use towards having the car really get a good "once-over" at somebody like....ummm...Gizmo

so the question is, what does your heart say ?

I knew that my E38 was not well looked after, and when I took it for a test drive, I pointed out these faults to the salesman, the negotiated the price down (ala Mike from "wheeler-Dealer")
but my heart was in LUV with the E38, and I really wanted her

Take the money and run. There might be more surprises if you keep the car. You were lied to so its likely there are some more cover ups:YesNo:

Look at when the car came out of warranty, then add an average per year mileage and see whether it more or less ties up with the cars current mileage, if they lied about ownership i would try and verify mileage, be-careful.

Take your money. I had an "experience" similar to this at Forsdicks and ended up losing 30k when I gave the car back. We always hope its gonna work out, but hardly ever does.

Take your money, punch salesman in the d**k and spit on his car as you exit. I hate a cheat. :RedNo:

I nearly agree, but I would kick the lying salesman in the balls and punch him in the face rather and don't forget to spit on his car too!

Dude. There are plenty of these cars around. Get your money. Take your time and make sure you take someone knowledgable when you are test driving the next vehicle.
