I did... that is why I'm conflicted. They are 2 different animals. The M3 is raw, noisy, and needs to be revved to extract joy (and it delivers), and it has presence.
The 435 on the other hand is quick, effortless, quiet, pretty (as opposed to having presence), very comfortable, much more modern - and switching from an 80,000km car to one that is almost brand new makes a difference.
I cannot say definitively which is faster, but the M is obviously more special.

Agreed, but we're also talking about an age gap of 4-5 years between the cars - so the 435 seems to have bridged the gap a little in terms of engineering, comfort and dynamics.
