Big thread revive...
Funny how things work out and decisions are made and then destined to be repeated in a similar fashion...
I just bought an M4, 2016 model, low mileage, once again I was looking at the brand new 330i or contemplating waiting for an M340i (and briefly looked at a current gen 440i
As before, I made the decision to go proper ///M - preferring older raw power and dynamics over newer fancy refinement.
At the time, I had a 911 C2S, so a Boxster/Cayman as a daily didn't really make sense.
I enjoyed owning it, but regretted the convertible aspect... it had too many rattles from the hardtop mechanism, it was a year or two of fun.
I was happy with my decision, but I think I would have been happy either way. Unless I bought the gran coupe (which I actually wanted), it seems they have taken a much bigger depreciation knock, no idea why!
Mine arrives this week... looking forward to it.

You're not. I believe you should move forward/up. 435i is newer and so I would have gone that route.
