Oil????

Checked my oil this morning and the level seemed a little low and I'd like to top up with a pint. But I'm not sure what's in there now. The I was thinking of topping up with Castrol Edge Sport 10W-60 (fully synthetic). The other oil is Castrol Magnatec 10w-40 (part synthetic).

What do you think?

Neither is full synth.

That is why it is better to service the car yourself then you at least know what oil you are using.

So why would they say fully synthetic if it really isn't? So are you saying at this point it doesn't matter what I pour in there? I've got a 200km trip in about an hour and I'd really like to top up.

if the oil was not too low i would have left it till i could find what oil to put in... what did you do? an hour is not really enough time to get a proper answer from the forum :rollsmile:

Yeah, an hour isn't enough, situation kind of caught me by surprise. Nothings open here passed 12pm on a Sunday...so it was either leave level as is, or pour in the Castrol Edge...I did the latter...*hides*
