Oil level warning light

Fanatics, this morning on my way to work the oil level warning light came on but now my problem is i have just had the oil change service 3 weeks back with a private mech and i was there when they did the service. What could be causing this as I always assumed the oil will last until my next oil change service? Please shed some light. Thanks

Did you let the car stand for a while and then check the dip stick. Could be just a simple case of not the correct amount of oil used.

If the oil is low, top up and then check the level. if it still drops they could be a leak somewhere

I have changed the oil level sensor a couple of months back when i did my last oil change.

I will have to top it up when I leave work then check in the morning but i havent noticed any leaks.

Thanks:thumbsup:

Never assume the oil level is right, I always check the level myself after a service. There have been a few horror stories I have heard, of mechanics even forgetting to put in any oil. If the light comes on the first thing to do is to check the oil. :slap:
