Oil Filter removal tool

Hi guys

I stay in the south of JHB, does anyone have an idea where i could get a oil filter removal tool, looking for the socket type

I have tried Autozone in alberton and the kit they have doesnt have the right size,

Hi. Not sure abt what tool u referring to. But why don't u get a 36 socket and wrench. Best place is china mall they have stock and are cheap.
I have a 36 socket if u want to use it. I'm in lenasia south.

I bought the volvo set at Midas for R140. Came with 2 sizes. Works perfect on the BM.

Midas in alberton dont have,

ebay too risky with our postal service ............

I have found a tool supplier in JHB that recons he can get me one, if he can i will post his details here so no one else needs to battle like i have :=):

A big hose clamp also works .....
Tighten around entire oil housing so that it can't slip and scratch / damage housing .

Using screw driver on adjusting nut ,gently tap loose with hammer

Ok i just picked up my removal tool, fits exactly and was a steal in price, cheaper than ebay :coolShake:

I got it from a company called Der Handwerker located at 51 rosettenville road in the south of JHB tel 011 334 1190, cost me about R82 incl .......

my car is a 2008 e90 320i and uses a 86mm 16 flute, double check which one you need and if they dont have they can get it for you
