Will it be ready for the 28th of march skidpan day?
Haha, the oil cooler maybe a little excessive in size, I will order an oil cooler thermostat soon...Major said:You're making a fridge?!
Its a disconnect and move down, to get it to fit properly you need a dremel to massage some parts to fit.Jandre said:Quick question Gizmo. Semi related, but semi thread hi-jack. I noticed you are moving the fan/AC control unit.
Is this just a straight disconnect, and move jobbie, or a bit more involved. I was thinking of fitting a double DIN DVD headunit to The POFS, and thus will have to move the control unit.
On a more related note, well done on the e36. Looking forward to tracking your progress.
Gizmo said:I will have it running as NA for the time being while I build up the forged bottom end. I still need to test the new mods, ie gearbox, 240mm clutch, gauges ect.
Doubt it, there's alot still to be done and its like 2weeks away, I don't have much time to work on it when Im working on everybody else's cars...andrewbuch said:By the 28th?
There is a powder coating place on Meson road in Steeldale, across the road from Electron Motorspares.Major said:Those look awesome! Nice work. Where are you getting the powdercoating done?
That will be the block that will have all the machining done. Its being used as mock up for now, I picked up a turbo flange for the M42 head yesterday and I have a spare head in the cupboard so I can build a full motor on the engine stand and continue building it from there.zaleonardz said:You got a spare bottom end there Giz, or is that the one you used as a mock up ?
Thanx George, I will definitely look into that while I have the motor out.:thumbsup:George Smooth said:Some advice from experience. You need to strengthen the area around the exhaust side engine mounting on the cross member. With the torque you going to make it will eventually pull through.
