great points yourl mentioned maybe once its out in flesh you will see the true beauty.
i hope this car doesnt have the teething issues the 335i had, wonder what the price is of this car.
guys always talk about the amg's not been able to do the bends, well on the track yes yourl are correct they are no match for the bm's, but realistically how often do people do track as compared a quick robot to robot dice.
and the merc wil take a bend at 200km but we shouldnt even be taking the bend at that speed, so really can we keep bringing up the argument that bm's are better around the track.
i understand we are beemer lovers but its been really hard for bm's to beat merc(both standard) and majority of the times the merc are always faster.

It's about how it handles what it does when it does it. BMW usually shines in most if not all areas where Merc tends to specialize a bit more. Even so, Merc does have some great cars with that 6.2L monster engine and because of the big motor it will probably be faster. From what I can see, Merc's whole strategy is just to simple out power BMW.
Personally, I don't think one is "better" than the other because different cars appeal to different people. For me, the best thing about BMW is how everything just seems right when you get in one.

I think that car has got some serious gutts (552hp / 680Nm ) if you dont like the looks, take it to Twinz and ask him to make it look as awesome as his ride........

I think the car looks fantastic! It's elegant yet aggressive, and not too shouty, like all previous M5's have been. Considering some of BMW's recent styling efforts, I think they have done a good job, and that this is about the best we could have expected. Output figures sound pretty awesome too, would love to get behind the wheel of one, as sure it will be brilliant. Also think it will look even better in the flesh. Can't wait to see one. :=):

I think that it looks superb. Excellent lines keeping in line with the previous M5's. Subtle / mature / refined power. not some garish, chrome ridden, AMG with Guns and Wings and other sorts. Does exactly what its supposed to, pleasant to the eye with all round performance in mind.
